GTG Pro

For iPhone and iPad

Many easy sets. Every one counted.

GTG Pro runs grease the groove training for you: many easy sets spread through the day, never to failure. Tell it your max. It tells you when to do a set and how many reps.

Coming soon to the App Store

The Today screen. Push-ups: 10 reps per set, 7 of 10 sets done. Pull-ups: retest due. Dips: done for today.

How it works

  1. Test your max

One set of as many clean reps as you can.

  2. Get a plan

Half your max per set, 10 sets a day, spread across the hours you choose.

  3. Do a set when the reminder comes

Touch and hold it, tap Log, and the set is saved without opening the app.

  4. Retest every 14 days

Your new max sets the next two weeks, so the reps grow as you do.

Reminders

Log a set without opening the app

Each reminder tells you the reps. Touch and hold it, tap Log, and the set is saved.

If now is a bad time, Snooze brings it back in 15 minutes. A set you did early can be logged by hand on the Today tab.

A reminder over the home screen: Push-ups, 10 reps, reminder 9 of 10, with the actions Log 10 reps and Snooze 15 min.

Every 14 days

Retest, and your reps grow with you

Every 14 days the app asks you to test your max again. The new max sets your reps for the next two weeks.

You can also keep your current reps and skip the test.

A retest result for pull-ups: a new max of 10, up 2 from 8, and the next 14 days at 5 reps per set.

Stats

Streaks, adherence and perfect days

Every program shows its 14-day cycle one day at a time: perfect, partial, missed or rest.

Under it are your total reps, your streak and your adherence. Rest days never break a streak.

The push-ups program on day 8 of 14: 10 reps per set, 10 sets a day, a 20 day streak and 97% adherence this cycle.

Progress

Your plan

Tune it to your day

Set the intensity from 30% to 80% of your max. Choose 1 to 20 sets a day, the hours reminders may come, and your rest days.

Pause a program and pick it up later.

Editing the push-ups plan: intensity at 50%, 10 sets per day, reminders from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and Sunday as a rest day.

All programs

Push-ups, pull-ups, or your own

Run several programs at once, including exercises you add yourself. Each keeps its own streak, and their reminders stay 10 minutes apart.

The Progress tab totals every rep and every set.

The Progress tab: 4,311 total reps and 643 sets logged across push-ups, pull-ups and dips, each with its day streak.
